T3 Fundraiser Friday Night

The Rotary Club of New Port Richey is holding a fundraiser on this Friday, April 13, 2012, at the Spartan Manor. The purpose of this fundraiser is to benefit Downtown New Port Richey by raising funds for the New Port Richey Police Department so that they may procure Motion T3 Electric Vehicles. These vehicles have been extremely beneficial to law enforcement in municipalities of all sizes.

A special thank you and recognition to Thomas B. Dobies of Dobies Funeral Home for being the Chief Sponsor of this New Port Richey Rotary event!

The Date City Police Department already has electric vehicles of this nature, which have proven to be successful. Given the budget problems that are confronting cities across the country (including New Port Richey), Pres. Cadle wanted to do this fundraiser to help the Downtown, and specifically law enforcement.

Here is some exciting news: Due to the overwhelming success of this fundraiser, the NPR Rotary Club was able to purchase the two T3 vehicles in advance, so they will be inside the Spartan and dedicated to the NPR Police as part of the program.
